MCB GSX dual ring pistons

i'm looking at putting new pistons in my 2006 rev 800.just wondering if anyone has used these before. if there just as durable as the oem ones, because they are half the cost.

I bought some pistons from jim he was great to deal with.

Make sure you check your ring end gap before you install them.

I agree the price is right and my experience is all good. The kits come complete and the Price is right. In fact i have a few sets coming in this week let me know if you would like one.

Why do you have the check the ring end gap?If they are made properly should'nt the gap be good.

Every jug will be different it's good practice and might just save you a headache later.

Why would the jugs be different?Its a nikasil cylinder so the bore should be the same.Except for some slight wear.

just saying for the time it takes to check the gap its worth it. its also standard procedure in engine rebuilds, get over it!

dont over complicate it!!!! throw them in and go. Its a 2 stroke with nickasil. If it worn enough to have to check end gap the jugs are toast and a monkey can see that.

I checked mine when I installed the RKTek dual ring pistons. The gauge is cheap from Princess Auto. You have to be more concerned if the ring gap isn't enough, than if it is too much.

Have the dual ring pistons in both my 08xp and fathers 06 rev. Both have been running fantastic! Just rolled 2000kms on mine this weekend and still running strong! :d:d

u have to check it everytime..... cause i have had to grind some everytime...

and that like 30 times over the years.....

they make them with less gap so u can adjust them to spec...

mod shop said they've seen quite a few of RK Tek kits with the same problem. when he saw my buddy's engine he said "go buy a new one"
