Please let me know next time you leave BC.Thanks
Your welcome for the fresh snow I hope it's being enjoyed. You see it's because of me that it snowed. I simply drive to the mountains, ride on hard pack for three days and then ( this is the important part ) leave. I think it might be due to the small low pressure area behind my tailgate as I drive towards alberta that causes the phenomenon and actually draws in the snow clouds as I'm leaving which almost always results in snow fall by the time I get home or within 24 hours. Coincidence you say? Nope I know it's me ( my truck actually ) because if I go back the other way it pushes the snow away from the mountains and it's back to square one. It's simple science really.... Lol.

I feel your pain. That has been me all this year as well.

Had a great day at Renshaw on Sunday. Met up with Pete Gads, his nephew and 2 of his friends at the collection shack, and I was with Dean all weekend. I brought them in to the Anthills and the best part of the day was showing the young guys all the areas of fresh powder and seeing the smiles on there faces all day and them giving'er through the trees. Dean had a great day as well with a grin on all day, he's learned a lot in 2 days of riding on his new 15 summit. The snow was still great, we found several untouched honey holes all day. Pete, those young guys can sure go, non-stop all day. Some pics to follow.

Well the trail is starting to suffer from the warm weather. It was OK going up, starting to get wet and icy from the collection shack to the first bridge, then slightly rough up to about 12 km, after that it improved, after km 18 it was good all the way just past 28. The way down was good till about km 16 where there was some mud starting to poke through the trail, and icy in areas. From km 11 right to the collection shack it was fairly bumpy with ruts, and ice with water in areas. May not last to long with the water and ice and snow melting fast, it was totally worth it today though. And when we heading down it was starting to snow pretty good up top and both raining and snowing all the way down the trail. It got socked it fast.

Raining in the valley this morning folks!!! Hotrod went out to groom Renshaw last night and had a hard time of it! Rained most of the way up BUT it was snowing very hard at the top with about 7inches of new snow accumulated! It was heavy wet snow but snow non the less! bbtoys is heading up this morning so hopefully he'll be able to update a little more later today!

Looking to head out for a few days wednesday morning, my friends from town don't think the conditions are worth the trip so I'll be alone on this one.
I have lots of experience riding in Mcbride as well as avy training.
If anyone has room for an extra rider shoot me a pm!

Well, it's wasn't the doom and gloom we've been hearing on here. Just had 2 awesome days of riding, found about 10 inches or more recent untracked snow, wind blown spots were easily double that, heard sleds all day but never seen a soul except on the trails out, Guess if you are willing to venture out the sledding is still great even though the snow pack is 1/2 of a normal year. I'd post some pics but for some reason I can't, keeps telling me upload failed. Never had a problem before.

"Never seen a soul except on the trails out!"

Thats because you and your brother polished that waterfall all up, just to keep old Higgins out of the Honey Hole!!!

Just doing what it takes to keep the riff - raff out Higgy...... Had an excellent ride sunday as well, went into the spot we had told you we were going.

Heading out this weekend with a couple buddy's and our newbie lady friends, wondering how bell and Lucille are doing now ? Most ppl are posting about renshaw but I think that we would be stuck around the cabin not being able to go very far with our low experience group.

Hoping to come out this weekend. Also wondering on trails up to Lucielle and bell. Obviously with the rain the renshaw trail isn't fairing well at lower elevation but are we talking about rideable snow or just mud and ice. I don't care about a rough ride just want to make sure I have sliders when I get to the top.
Also how much snow ended up falling up top.

Renshaw....trail was not very good up or back down but there is snow and ice on all of it from bottom to top. at the cabin there was no less than 3 feet of fresh overnite, it is heavy but very nice. started to get heavy at about 25 km and in the trees on the trail a ton of fresh overnite. a group at the cabin said it was 4 feet the further you got back from the cabin. rained up to about 18 km then snow and was snowing when I left this afternoon. no grooming tonite as it is to warm. the snow up top is for sure worth the rough trail up and down. play safe.
