i just think its funny. say the BIS wasnt happening that weekend. and the same stuff happened. none of this stuff would even be happening..

as far as going after anyone.. its a joke.. this guy is a LOSER!!

if he has sledded before he knows all the risks involved and well like said somehwere here before.. wrong place at the wrong time..

for fawk sakes you can walk acrossed the street and get hit buy a car.. list goes on.

i wanna just find this MORON and have some close words with him.

frustrates me to no end. no one is at fault but the person himself.

Just like that azzhat from Quebec that went skiing out of bounds and then tried to sue everyone for his own stupidity.

anyone here know Shay Snortland family? would be nice to say we as snowmobilers will give any help we can if needed......it is just not nice what this guy is doing! I would line up in court to say this guy is a douche canoe, and it should be thrown out of court!

This is a very sad example of what society is coming to. I have such a hard time to understand how anyone could sue a family who has lost soooo much already. I hope all of us as a group can help out in stopping this lawsuit.

I hope everyone involved in the lawsuit has good insurance, I hope they don't need it but this world is changing and I guess no one is responsible for themselves anymore.

Hopefully the Revy club had Directors & Operators insurance and the BCSF (if the club is a member) will have liability insurance. If this case gets to discovery more than likely the Insurance companies will settle on an amount and every one shuts their mouths and goes their seperate ways. I don't agree with this because it amounts to hush money and the real truth does not come out in the court room.

SO, if they do settle out of court, how many more will be suing everytime they get hurt on the mountains on a good day, not just organized events? The sled clubs who charge money to maintain the trails for US to ride, shouldn't have to be worried about making deals with idiots like this guy because he made a stupid choice, HIS choice by the sounds of it. Has he taken an avy coures? Did he read the bulletins? (Maybe he can't read - they are colour coded too!) No one forced this guy to be there, especially with his son. :nono: Why is it that when people get hurt they have to blame someone else? WTF????? ...just my 2 cents.

This guy is a jackazz for filing this action and he's a bigger jackazz for taking his son to the area when the CAA had a red banner on their site warning of the high risk conditions in the area at the time. The accident happened after the event and had nothing to do with the event. I don't blame Powder Puff for not talking clearly the clubs legal representation has instructed all concerned to not comment. Just when everything seems to be calming down some more bad press comes along, chit like this is going to fawk the sport.
