this has been bothering me, the rope isnt even tight in mamas avatar........I think its super-imposed. She is just trying to make it look like she has been busy so she can get off the hook when it comes to knitting.

Zeebs she's surfing. But that doesn't give her any excuse to not do some knitting once she throws the rope back to the boat.:d:beer:

Yep zeebs I'm surfing so the rope shouldnt be tight and then you let go of the rope and surf without it. Its prairie surfing! Lol

I noticed the board you were standing on didnt have bindings..... So let me get this straight, you basically surf off the wake from the boat?

post a video sometime if you could......it sounds pretty neat

Yeah it's a blast! We get the kids doing it and once in a while the wife will give it a try. Have a look at YouTube, lots of good vids on there. There are some people on there that are REALLY good. Wakeskating is a lot of fun too  :)

We also wake skate but that hurts like a beyotch when you fall!

We had our 5 year old daughter surfing last year with her dad. I will try and post pictures soon.

Yeah wakeboarding can hurt too.....but IMO I find wakeskating is worse

This is true, I tried wearing a helmet one summer, and found I got hurt more wearing a helmet than I did without...I seemed to go into dumbass mode with it on :)
Blew my ankle out 2 summers ago trying a 'tantrum', we had 11 people in the boat, and the wake was like hitting a wall, wasn't pretty :)

I always board with a helmet. I've had some pretty major wipeouts...especially trying the surface 360. Nothing like catching an edge and smashing your face on the water....

HA! So true! My worst one was cutting across and catching the nose of my board as I launched, I seemed to be in the air forever before landing face first at 22 mph. Needless to say, I spotted for the rest of the day and drank lots of pain killer  :d
