Details: for anyone who cares
5" milled aluminum riser replaces stock 2" cast aluminum riser, gain of 3" (3.25 actual)
5" 30 degree offset (Oles's Machine) raises the bar vertically as opposed to "up and at you" like most risers (see my pics above) for the older machines as the steering post mounting plate that the riser bolts to is facing the rider. Thus the "Offset". This provides a more rider forward setup, ofcourse.
I was lucky as all my wireing, throttle cable, and brake lines had enough slack to accomodate the 3.25 inch rise? I know that some guys have had issues on a 2" lift, on the same machine. However I am streched to the limit and have taken all precausions to make sure nothing is rubbing or stretching. I had to do a bit to reroute and re-zippy tie everything. Biggest issue was the brake line.
One other thing I did to accomodate this was I carved out the inside of the foam handle bar surround so I could lower and reduce any stress on all the wiring and the brake line to give me an extra inch I'm guessing?
Nothing binds or rubs... so time will tell?
