Now i'm not trying to start a pissing contest I have lived in sask,bc,and ab so in no way am i bashing any of them personnally just having some fun so please dont take this personnally!

I had a buddy today that tried to tell me the classic bumper stickers of "save Bc shoot a 403" and "more Bc less alberta" are good bumper stickers because he truly believes that BC would be a very strong province if alberta residents quit coming to BC and alberta had less influence on BC. That being said I stated to him that how would revy,or golden survive 80% of there tourism industry is probably albertans! I then asked him about the shuswaps and how there house boat industry would survive without albertans booking those up?! He then tried to tell me that living in BC was cheaper than alberta thats when i knew that BC definately had good weed lol! I guess my thing is why do the residents in some of these places choose to be so ignorant towards albertans coming sledding,or camping,or hiking in BC ? It's like a little civil war kind of like how the people from idaho usually hate the californians and so on! it's canada were all canadians can we not get a long in this country and not worry about how many "CANADIANS" are coming back and forth into our own province for tourism?

I think some of it has to do with the attitude some Albertan's have towards the people of BC. It seems like some look down on us because we have businesses and and recreation areas that depend on your tourism dollars. BC is also rich in resources and it's not that long ago that the oil sands were not booming and our forest industry was, that is to say if Albertans quit coming to BC our province would not whither up and die. Sure the per capita income in BC is less than in AB but that is a choice we make. I could make more in AB but then I wouldn't have all this wonderful recreation in my backyard, I would have to travel to it. In short money isn't everything and I think a lot of BC residents resent the attitude of some Albertans that money makes you better than others.

People would be surprised at the amount of Americans that frequent BC. I find it funny how some Albertans think if it wasn't for them BC wouldn't survive. I live in BC but work in Alberta. I have no problem with all the good folks from east of BC coming and enjoying all that BC has to offer. I do have a problem with the ones that come this way and talk trash about the stupid laws and a$$hole locals. Just my 2 cents. We are all Canadians after all

ya i could see how some in bc definately get upset with some of the attitudes but at that same time i think a lot of people put on that attitude because of the fact that there are people making bumper stickers like Save bc shoot a 403 and a couple others and having people from bc say F'in albertans in our camping spots It kinda makes it fun for some to put up that "alberta attitude" I myself dont have that attitude i love bc not a fan of how all business is done in the area but thats why i live in alberta and play in BC! it just makes me laugh when i hear all the grumbling about albertans it's almost like just because we are east of BC it makes us easterners and we must be like quebec haha!

We're gonna buy BC and build that freaking pipeline....

BC tax rates will remain the same for current residents though... an immigration fee of sorts...

In the spirit of Ralph homeless & hippies will be told to "get a job or perish"

I really prefer the way politics shake out in AB compared to BC. We have too many bleeding hearts here that can't see we have a resource economy. The only reason there are jobs in places like Vancouver and Victoria are because of the people working in the rest of the province.

I'd say its more of a case of "one bad apple...". It just takes one clown driving around like an idiot and all the red plates get painted with the same brush. I remember last year at the boat launch an albertan had a meltdown because somebody wasn't getting their boat in the water fast enough. It was very entertaining.

LOL I have seen some entertaining "launches" at the Kekuli site by both red and blue plates. The guys with the fanciest boats are the most annoying though. They feel the need to show them off and unload the gear into the boat and put in the plug undo straps etc all right at the launch with a lineup behind them instead of out of the way like everyone else.

I've squeezed in beside then behind a couple of those types, right in the middle of a double launch taking thier sweet old time...... plio has as well...

They look at you like WTF... but I can dump my boat and park in the time it takes them to fold one strap...

Can be pretty intimidating when a hobbit starts wheeling a 24' cabin cruiser down the side of your boat on the launch...
