Call Don's Speed Parts.;) I'd think a Y-pipe, aftermarket single pipe, and some proven clutching would be the ticket. A Boss highrise seat would be sweet as well.:)

The warden's sled got SLP's for ski's. With the Carl Modification I think it's the best ski for the M series. It's decent on the trail and awesome in the powder. We both took off our simmons this year, I find them hard to side hill with in marginal snow. They are great on the trail though.Running 35lbs front ski pressure made it much easier to handle. If you only want a little more power when you need it then gas is your best option.

With the M8 it all depends on how far you want to go.. Because with good porting and a head, you can make good gains.. And it wouldnt hurt your reliabiluity.. We are doing a few cats over the summer at the shop..

hey thanks for the info. i might take catmandos advice and just put a seat on it. Maybe some new skis. seems to hunt on the trail at higher speeds. Those simmons skis would clean that up. Do they make a kit to convert them to simmons

No kit needed. Just order simmons with a/c mounts

Let me know if you come up with a replacement for the fox float. I agree it isn't the best

I had read in a post from a while ago that a replacement coil over that was titanium was avaliable. and the weight was the same. but i can't remember the brand. Likely was a float but i'mnot sure about the application due to the angles that are involved.

You can use fox zero pro's. They are good and have a spring on them.. Some of the cats came with them from factory..

160 stock pipe, 170 single pipe, 180+twin pipes

thats it.. An M8 is capable of making 180hp with porting, head, reeds, good single pipe and controller.. A guy in the city dyno'd a M7 with a union bay 900 big bore kit on it and it made 194hp with twin pipes.

RCS makes a titaniun coil over. If you want real performance the Ohlins with oil ressies work well. I believe Fox will be offering a shock with oil ressies for 09 that fit the A/C sleds.
I believe the coil overs with titaniun are far superior to the Fox air shocks. The wieght is a wash and the coil overs offer far more consistant tuneability.

yea, whatever! I have some toilet paper for dyno paper too.
do you know how many ubm900's got returned?
best 900 was the engine tech that didn't touch 190. twin pipes 15-1 comp.
actually a ub900 made 178 at dynotech, they have high numbers, a m1200 made 225 on there dyno as well then went too another shop and made just under 200 same sled.
but whatever you want to hear, I could say 194 full race but who would ride that everyday in the mtns.
140 stock 800, 160 pump gas 900 stock pipe! 170 pump gas single, 180 twins race gas mix. these would still have to be perfect days to make good numbers on a dyno and fairly lean.
talk to Ted at Terra Alps racing, he builds them for the mtns for pump gas.
if your willing too run straight race gas run a turbo.
lmao!

These are the exact reasons that i said before that a dyno is only good as a tuning tool.. Because wit hdifferent dyno's you'll get different numbers.. I rather see how they actually work in the hills..
