Coming down from Westridge yesterday on the flat trail going at a decent clip my 2006 M7 died for a second then came back and started to run like ch!t, backfiring, running good for a few seonds and then loosing rev's but would still idle. Nursed it back home. Any ideas, injector, ECU, something electrical?

Thanks.

toasted injector or ecu. and thats my best guess with my limited arctic cat knowledge. any codes on the dash?

this same sled also has an issue when its under high load in deep snow. just loses power and bogs out.

and the vents were completely clear

No codes flashing, no warning lights on the dash. If you looked at the dash everything appeared to be normal.

intake was clear and not collapsed? Plugs look fine? fuel delivery possibly, have you checked the cables and actuator for the exhaust valves?

Check your intake. Pull the intake boot off the hood and see if it blocked with ice in your airbox. Could have hit a bump and shifted a block of ice to choke the motor.

Another guess is possibly your fuel pump. It may have a clogged screen in where it can supply adequate fuel pressure for low RPM but can't keep up with high RPM. With it being a few seasons old it might just be debris, It happens.

Hope it doesn't keep you down for long

Ditto. I had mine act up after I rolled the sled over to get it unstuck and the throttle pin fell out. It would idle fine but wouldn't rev up. Good thing treemongrol kept a spare doo throttle in his pack lmao

Did roll it over and throttle was sticking. Hopefully that is it as would be a lot cheaper than a new ECU.

Thanks.

This happened to my '07 M8 and the lights would flicker and go off at times as well. Felt like the sled was running on one cylinder. No warnings on the dash. I ended up having to replace the chassis control module and the ECU..
