Looking at 13 m1100 limited with 1400 miles roll over valve blow off valve and pipe. Mint condition $6500. Want to try 4 stroke but scared to invest $15000. Will this give me a good 4 stroke to try
I have a 2013 M1100T that I purchased new. Love the sled, it is modded (Big Chute turbo, etc.) I've had one failed hand warmer, a drive chain, and a starter solonoid. They are heavier then a 2S, but if the suspension is set up right and you don't have super aggressive skis on it, (I use Polaris Grippers) they mask the weight well when riding - I prefer the sled to my 2013 big bore 925 M800 for almost all riding conditions other then tight tree riding, but it can do it if you're in shape.
A word of caution - you need to "learn" how to ride a boosted 4S, as they act a lot different then a 2S on the snow. Throttle control is critical, and power delivery is way different then a 2 stroke - but once you learn it, you'll be stuck a lot less then on the 2S.
Biggest difference I found with riding my 14 heavy mod 4 stroke is the front suspension . Installed a 2016 front end and new Evo 3 shocks which brought my ski stance to 36 inches . Now the sled dips like a 2 stroke . Love it
