before you go anywhere with a m1000 make sure you reinforce the tunnel where the steering post attaches they all seem to crack there and the front cooler is part of the tunnel so if you weld the crack make sure you don't melt through the cooler there is an aftermarket bracket that you can use not sure who has it

Good to know that's the first I herd of this!

there may also be an engine mount recall I know we had 1 that had a recall on it
these motors seem to have a bad vibration at idle so I think you need to be wot most of the time

This is a common problem. Happened to a buddy of mine. Wildchild makes plates for them. I have one on mine.

It's funny to see an M1 idle next to an 800. It shakes soo much more than an 800 it's silly. Can't slide that past some people

Oh we won't need to worry about it that, cause it will be WOT all the time! Lol. Cause it does shake lots. It is brand new out of the crate this year I know that T&T did some updates and recalls on it then.

Deano is doing the steering post fix. He also has a 162"PC there. M8 gears & either the shift assist bearing or the torsional spring conversion for the secondary.

Not sure if it's off an HCR or if it's mine. Maybe he's got another one there

Call Mountain Magic in Edmonton, the M1's rock when dialed in but have a few issues that must be dealt with first, one is engine mounts they have too much torque and break them regularly. Second is they suggest run regular fuel yes regular 87 octane. One old fart knows his stuff too take him up on that offer.

The shop manual I have for my '08 says right in it... use only 87 octane. Higher Octane will not improve performance. Weird!!!!

fuel pressure regulator stock air intake and pipe set of your choice along with m8 gears unless you run the flats all the time. fuel box (i like the attitude best) and buy the torque stop used on the m7 that sits under the oil bottle. replace your mounts every 1000 miles and don't be shy on feeding it oil. 30/32-1. and yes 87 unless your take .010 or more off the head the 91 and up as needed. save your money on the reeds no gain worth 250.00 and they crap out faster then the stockers.
