Hey guys i am in the market for an underslung propane tank for my sled trailer, does anyone have recomendations for them or where to find them at a decent price?
search auto wreckers. They may have old propane vans that you can tank the tank out of. Thats how we got ours. Sanded it up and repainted it. Has been good for 3 years. Even got lucky. The mounts for the tank matched up perfectly with the floor braces. Was alot cheaper then going with a brand new one. Most RV places can order the brand new ones.
Thanks for the reply, tank looks good!! i did some looking today and have found a couple tanks around the area. is there anything in particuler i should watch out for on the valves? thanks again for the post!
Ye would be nice to find used one, I have called around and are anywhere from 400 to 600 bucks, for that kind of money I will mount on front nose for mine.
You can switch out the valves pretty easy from a propane shop if necc
Believe it or not, the hose is more important. Make it look neat and professional and no one questions.
We found out that these tanks are not regulated like the BBQ tanks so if it was filled before, they will continue to fill it
Thanks man! i got my new tank today and installed it. I was able to buy a brand new one for half of what allan dale or anyone wanted and the wreckers there wasnt much to be had. Thanks for all the replys!
