Hey everyone, i am back again looking for thoughts and reviews.
I have a 2013 summit x 154. I was tossing around the idea of doing a big bore kit but after speaking with
Brent Linderman about it, he suggested i run his port job, his y pipe and his clutching. I have heard nothing
but good things about Brents work.
My question to you is:

Does anyone have a ported etec?
Is anyone running lindermans port job?
Has anyone rode a ported etec?
what can i expect from it?
is it worth getting done or better off going big bore?

any input at all would be great.

My reason for doing this is because i am looking for a little more power out of the sled. I want to do more
tree riding this year so to get the torque when needed and the power when needed is what i am aiming for.
with that said, i am not going to stick to just trees.

Maybe i am going in the wrong direction as to what i need done to the sled, thats why i am here.
Or maybe i should add more to this kit besides just the porting, clutch and y pipe, let me know.

Im eager to get working on this...

i believe he just cuts the head. he never mentioned anything about timing.
he has his own y pipe as well as his own clutching for the kit.
im surprised there hasnt been more replies to this. does everyone go big bore instead of just porting?

alot of guys are doing BB because the porting originally wasn't making much HP. Now the HP is almost the same as the BB. The BB does have more torque though. The problem with timing, is that every sled is set different. One sled with a 2 degree advance might notice big improvements but another might hurt performance. Timing should be done on dyno to be exact. Squish is a big factor on these too. Alot came with a big squish alot came where it should be. I've seen some come with any where from .044" to .058".
