My brother which is a huge dodge fan hit a deer with his work truck. While it was getting fix he rented a ford with a 6.2 in it. He really like it! He said it had really good power, decent fuel mileage. But he never pulled nothing with it.

I had a 2012 f250 with the 6.2 in it had just over 140000 kms when I traded it off. Zero problems with it. Kept it all stock and it pulled my 31' TT on a couple long trips down to great Falls Mt and rapid city SD. I found using the manual mode I could drop a gear for some hills and still keep the cruise on. It really liked to rev and pulled nice. When buying mine I noticed the f350's had a slightly lower hp and torque #'s. Not sure why that is. Probably gearing options that you can only get with 1 tons?.

Looking at getting rid of the old 6L Superduty & would like to know what guys think of the F250 or 350 SD with the 6.2L gas. Who's running one? What's mods if any? Mileage you get & any know issues?

Thanks[/QUOTE

hey man i got a2011 250 6.2, i love this truck, i pull lots with it, from dump trailers and my 5th wheel and quad trailer or boat behind it an it pulls great, its all stock except for the exhaust, i get about 12l/100km just driving normal and about 21l/100km pulling my b train, very good truck with no issues yet,

Those numbers are nothing like the 3 we had. 16-18 empty and with a 12K lb. trailer it was in the 30's. Made one trip to PG from Edmonton and got 38

I have a 2013 F350 with the 373 rear end (I had no choice at the time of purchase). Running empty I have been in the low 13/100 and pulling the 25' TT (a heavy 4 season with one pull out) out to the west coast and back is was 28/100. Great truck and like Chrisp1 mentioned the manual mode is nice and you can control the shifting a little better to your own liking.

No issues so far at 65,000 and just oil and filters.

It looks like the hardest thing is finding a rig with anything but 3.73 gearing. Without ordering a brand new truck.
And that isnt going to happen on my budget.
So if its 3.73 gearing only it isnt that big a deal since you can run the truck by shifting manually??

Well if you have two trucks to sell Jeremy drop me a PM or put some pics & info on here for me.

What kinda fuel milage u think a guy would get if he were to put a level and 33s on the 6.2 with a sled deck and two sleds? Do u think that would drastically change fuel milage? At 1000 pounds for two sleds and say 500 pounds for a deck?

2 sleds on my dually made almost no difference in mileage, maybe 1l per 100km more consumption

I'm curious to see what kinda fuel milage it gets... if it's anything decent while haling two sleds on a deck I may vary well convert from diesel to the 6.2.

It was a 2011 and ran it for 100000 Kms. Good truck but rough.
Not one problem.
Replaced with my first Duramax . "2012 "
Have 150000 on Duramax.
It is parked for most of the time now as run a 1/2 ton other then for pulling heavy loads or hauling sleds on deck.
For me I am lucky to have both but if I had to have one it would be a gas truck and would rent a diesel if I real needed it .
Can't believe all the peeps that drive a diesel to pull a big holiday trailer for two weeks a year. "Rent one "
IMO

That's my issues I have a cummins.... and I only pull sleds on a deck with it... kind of thinking that it may be time to get more realistic. Otherwise it runs empty the rest of the year...
