plus getting the 08 gives you reverse which is a nice option,but ya that box has to go.If looking at a 08 you might wanna check out the 09's as well they have a better reverse set up and a power claw track...All depends on how much you wanna spend.

I bought a new 2007 M1000 and rode it stock for the first few rides, then added a can and airbox mod, the sled ran very well. I then made the big mistake of getting the computer upgrade and it ran terrible after that and they would not reverse the program put in. I then was forced to by a boondocker box to fix the rich fuel problem to eliminate the bottom end bog and mid range issues. Once I got the box tuned in it ran flawlessly and consistantly burned 2-3 liters of fuel more than my buddies M7 which I was very happy with. The sled does have reverse but it is a mechanical reverse which HAS to be taken apart every season and inspected in my opinion. They also had a run of serial #s that the cranks were replaced on a recall, check to see if this was one of them. They were a great sled but i wouldnt go back from my 09 for nothing.

It is funny you say that. I had a problem with my reverse once. It kicked into reverse and then would not kick back out. After a little backing up turning and hitting the button somemore times it finally kicked back out. I never had a problem with it after that.
