WHY do people stick their winches so low? why not just run the cable down from up top!!!!!!!!!!

Believe it or not when you are stuck there is a huge advantage to lift you up and forward versus trying to pull you straight forward and plow you further into trouble.

that is why you put the cable down, to pull up the front or rear of the unit. OH just forget it! you guys can put the winch in the mud water etc & burn them out. I will mount my winch up high & only run the cable down & out.

After you get it mounted post some pics. I'd like to see how you mounted it.

Had it on our 2007, worked great & never burnt out or water, mud etc. out a winch. Buddy wrecked three down low last year because they were always in the soup. Ours was front and rear mount with quick connect plug ins. I am thinking only front on this one, (MAYBE BOTH front & rear). I will try to post some pics after I finally mount it. Also works great up high for the plow.

I like the bumper, backing into trees in tight spots, it's only a matter time till I damage the tailgate.

K !!!!!! we usually just throw the unit on its side and put some stuff under the wheels to get it out. Once you got the stuff under the wheels you just drive the unit out... SWWWWEEEEEETTTTTTT..
OH !!!! thanks for the comments... pork
Also to use the box dump I just pull the bumper out & off.....

So some goodies showed up in the mail. Got the PC5, Air intake, EPI Stage 3 clutch kit, Puller, Muzzy exhaust. I installed the clutch kit and the Intake, but ran out of time to install the PC5 and muzzy. I might get some more days off here soon so i will be installing the muzzy and PC5 and see how it goes from there. I will say one thing, i was checkin some cows with the neighbour the other day and i was racing him against his 07 King quad 450 and he was doing 55MPH and i was keepin up with him no prob. I think i might send my clutch away to V-force john and have some machine work done to get some more speed. I also had a little accident the other day while checkin cattle i hit a rock and i riped/cracked the inside of the rim. I was not happy as i didnt have a spare so i ordered another rim for a spare and i just got a email from ITP saying they will warranty my rim i hope. They just need a picture.
