Radiocommunication Regulations - Spectrum Management and Telecommunications
It's been along time since I've had a CB or VHF license. It depends on the officer whether this rule is enforced or not. Put him/her in a bad mood due to your additude and you'll find out Ontario actually wants to band both CB/VHF radios from vehicles do to the driver being "distracted".

I have the instructions. But It is lingo that makes me confused. I think I will try again tonight to add a couple channels
I would like some frequencies for around elkford if anyone knows what they are...
Worksafe BC is working on a program where there are only 50 approved channels for resource roads and they pick the channel. When a logger goes to a block they will have to apply to Worksafe to get a channel, then go from there.
The theory behind the idea is everybody can have the same 50 channels and you should never find a road where you dont have the channel.
In theory it works, but I have a hard time seeing them getting the loggers to comply, especially guys with their own private channels.
School me please, why are there fines involved if calling out mile markers is a safety thing? Also does anybody know if BCA Radios work for calling out mile markers? We have not been down roads yet where it's required to do call outs, but I would like to learn about it.
Thx
The fine will be if they are not complying and calling out mile markers. They rolled out the new freq so a truck driver can go anywhere in BC and have the proper RR channel and loading chan. The workers out in the logging block still use their company's private channel when they are working and then switch over to the RR channel when they are done for the day. you may get a fine if your using a radio and have no licence but usually they are not going to pull someone over and check if they have a licence unless they are being a jerk on the radio. Licence is cheap i just paid $13School me please, why are there fines involved if calling out mile markers is a safety thing? Also does anybody know if BCA Radios work for calling out mile markers? Industry canada actually called me and helped with the mistakes i had made and were really helpful. Radiocommunication Licensing Services - Spectrum Management SystemWhere did ya get it at??
