we'll see what winter brings.. so far it's turning out to be pretty awesome. We had our first snowfall last night, so the race is on for Firewood! We still need to move more into the wood shed. fingers crossed!!

so it turns out the Pelton wheel inverter thingie is going to be quite a substantial fix. Thank you Jay for the information about the other alternative energy companies. We're looking into that. For right now.. all I have to say is ... WE LOVE HONDA!!!!!!!
I still curl my hair at work when I get there, hair dryers use a BUTT load of power to run... My hair will probably be healthier because of it.

Right now we are renting it. We will make a decision in the spring if we will buy or not. Fingers crossed... I would LOVE to make this our forever home.... but lets see how winter goes first!! lol

first real snowfall in Awesomeland.. and BOY was it a doozy. I had a lunch date with Grandma today, but when I went to take the truck down the hill it was Wayyyyyyyy to sketchy for me to take it down... So I had to improvise.....

Enter: Plan B... AKA my first Ride of the year!! BRAAAPPPPPP
Made it down the mountain and met Grandma at the Ymir Store for some wonderful soup! It was perfect.

Our Journey continues up here in Awesomeland. It's been wonderful. A few bumps along the way such as the water freezing at the inlet, a little bit of swimming time in the creek.. lol..
The micro hydro system works now, as of Christmas eve!!!!!! Holy man that is nice!!! It runs everything pretty much except for the washing machine, provided everything is used in moderation. it's pretty cool.
