$59.00 a month ? u just have yer coffee maker plugged in ??? power goes up every year sometimes 2 or 3 times a year ... no problem paying that stuff off . luxuries are having no city people to deal with :) having acreage and room to run is a very nice option lol
Im on 600 acres, nearest neighbor is about 1/2 km away, not a lick of farm land, pretty much all just recreation land.

Yup, $59.00 a month, equal monthly payment plan, natural gas heat with wood backup, wife is anal about low energy lights and keeps hollering at me to turn them off when I leave the room. Kids are grown, now just the wife an me at home. No AC but then again we dont get to much summer it seems. Id gladly pay 20 bucks a month more in hydro if she would just quit bugging me about leaving the lights on. Oh, and I dont drink coffee.

We heat our home with a wood burning stove in the basement, furnace is for backup, we both are gone all day, so when it is real cold it kicks in. I save a ton of money on natural gas. Got an almost $600 credit from last year. Electricity well that is another story.

Hey negative Nancy.. go find one of the other threads dedicated to your AWESOME personality......

BAa ha haa... J/K

K todays stove is actually quite energy efficient, with way less pollution than ever before. Catalytic converters help to reburn the smoke so you have very little pollution..

So here's a question for all of you.... How many Snow and Mudders does it take to fill a 10 cord woodshed????

Yes the new stoves are much better.

Welcome to BC, if you want house insurance, you have a new efficient stove with an inspectors certificate.
