Light weight hoods for XM ???

Hey guys/gals, just wondering who has used or is using a light weight hood on their XM ?
I had a run-in with a creek bottom/wall and let's just say the Big Banana took one for the team....
Mostly plastics and cosmetic damage, but I'm thinking ahead to next year already, doing some mods now and getting her ready for BIG pow. haha

Mtn fit. Can get these from menz toys in castlegar, some other guys might have them. You know what it looks like. Over 2000km on mine with multiply roll overs and crashes into trees and not a crack yet. Holds less snow on the hood over the stocker, sheds snow fast. Easy +10lbs weight loss. Biggest thing is its sealed up enough to keep snow from entering the engine bay and cause tons of moisture. You can get them with or without intake (not like mine) or with or without glove box. $350.

I still really like the mesh hood from Diamond S. Just haven't wrecked enough to need one yet.

C3 powersports makes a carbon fibre hood. It's over $1000.

i have the diamond s mesh hood, i like it, keeps everthing cool and looks different . 25 days this year with it, probably rolled the sled 100 times and no tears or anything in the mesh.
only problem with the aftermarket hoods is you lose the headlight,

Frankensled flashlight. Small, has huge output for light, doubles as a headlight or flashlight. The kits come with everything you need. Uses a GoPro base and clip for mounting to your helmet so you can take it off during the day. I think he has a adapter to use the Drift base as well.

ya i ended up with a 7000 lume led light with a rechargable battery pack it works awesome and is almost as bright as a headlight.
i tryed to buy one of the frankensled lights but on one would get back to me on price and availibility

I've got a diamond s hood as well and really like it, it's easier to roll when stuck, comes off with 2 screws, and is super light compared to the stock hoodpiece. the only problem was it ended up close to 800 bucks to my door after exchange rate kicked my arse.
I'm running a trail tech head lamp and I spliced the wires so I can plug it into the 12v heated visor outlet. way brighter than the stock lights

Kid have you been out in really cold temps when the snow is dusty?curious how the hood is for snow injestion/steam...as even with the stock hood that super fine powder still gets in at -30 .the mountain fit looks good ,but have heard complaints about large gaps in hood between the sled?

so far so good with my delete. i always keep my bar warmers on high though as i was worried about that
