So last night, some worthless waste of skin decided they needed my light bar more than me. It was a 30" Rigid mounted on CJC brackets between the tow hooks. Taken right out of my driveway. Even had those "anti theft" nuts lol. Anyway, is there a more secure setup available? I don't want HIDs, but really liked having auxiliary lighting especially in the winter.

Thanks in advance.

Bastages. I have a 20" mounted in the same place and I am always leery of where I park. Overnight it is in my garage (that is the only place where it is safe). Staging areas are with the front bumper into a snow bank or berm but as more peeps know the LED is there, that isn't really safe. I would also like to know how to better protect it.

wire in a capacitor that activates when the key is off to the battery and to the bolts/bumper, when the little bastage grabs hold of the bumper/bracket/bolts they'll get a shocking surprise.

That's beyond my electronic ability. I would need a step-by-step instruction booklet for my limited knowledge with electronics/electricity.:D

I knew a guy that did that to an older Yukon, back when they had metal door handles.

pretty simple doug have a toggle switch that you can supply it with a dose of voltage for a second that will charge the capacitor and the first person to touch both the positive wire and ground gets a jolt of voltage ... we used to charge capacitors (wen cars used points) up and leave them on a rag for the new clean up kids ....

we have been getting more and more customers doing the light bars behind the grilles or adding a mesh style bumper insert to cover the light bars and make them a bit harder to steal. We tried the locking nuts and welding them the little pricks just cut the mounting brackets and where gone. we have yet to have 1 that is mounted behind the grille stolen and seems to be the best spot to put them.

Behind the grille would be ideal, but there isn't a lot of room on the Cummins.

Bummer man. If I do another, it will be right behind the grill. Perfect spot for one on the newer half ton Ford's.

Don't forget to hit your light bars with an engraver or make it identifiable in some way. not that you can't grind that off...but makes it more sketchy for them to get rid of.

Might help get it back or at least make it recoverable for you, instead of being just another light bar in a pile etc. Just a thought.

Do you have mounts made up for this set up? Have a 20" speed demon in my bumper but like the idea of a couple behind the grill as well

One thing I just thought of: The majority of use came when travelling to go sledding. During those times I also have a winter front on the truck. Gonna have to be pretty bright if its behind the grille lol.... I don't know, may just say hell with it because I'm not willing to make constant donations to losers. We'll see.
