How long do the AXYS tie rod boots last you before they rip? I know I destroy them in 1/2 a season. They just don't allow for the full movement and bind and rip.

Take a look at the boots on the new 600 racer. Maybe over-kill and will build up with snow? Anyway it would be nice to have an option somewhere in between.

make us some for the GEN4. they are garbage.

For the Polaris, I have been pushing the small end of the boot up the tie rod as far as possible and then putting a wire tie around the rod and applying Goop glue on the wire tie so it can't slip. This has seemed to work for the last 1/2 of the season. (so far, time will tell).

Keep the snow out of your hood and they don’t freeze full of ice.

Haha..no thats not it. I put prefilter on hood. The doo is terrible because the opening to the boots is flat so all the water pours into it and freezes right away on the Polaris there is a good lip so it's hard for water to get inside the boot.

Do you silicone them from the bottom? I think I’ll be doing this before the season starts.

GOOP automotive glue. I use that crap for everything. Hood repair, electrical wire insulation, seat repair, sled cover repair, seat repair, etc. etc. Usually fix stuff around the house, it works everywhere. Just form it smooth with a wet finger if it is visible.

Can you post a picture of your screens, I’d like to see how they look.

Sled is in the shop for a few more days getting a TSS and clutch under warranty. I will try to take some photos when I get it back. All you see from the outside is the screen backing the hole.

That pretty much answers my questions, thanks!
