North Columbia issued
Snowfall continuing near Smithers to give total amounts of 10 to 15 cm.
Snowfall amounts up to 25 cm expected for North Columbia tonight and Friday.

An intense frontal system on the BC coast is giving snow to the Smithers area. A few centimetres have fallen already with a further 10 cm before ending later evening. Occasional light snow will persist through the overnight period.
As the front moves inland tonight, snow will develop over the North Columbia region. Snowfall amounts up to 25 cm can be expected by Friday evening. Snow will taper off to a few flurries Friday night as the front departs.
