I think a person would have to see the hp and tq numbers but after 5-6000' just can't see a 900 sticking near a factory turbo on a straight pull where rider talent is not really needed.Not sure what how much of gain 50cc would get ya, but if the price was close to an NA maybe. A 900 NA isn't going to keep up with 850 turbo. Definitely would not take a first year 900 from anyone.
No but it's not supposed to. Just a little more kick than before. Like you say 50cc is piss all. I'm still on an 800 axys and it's not exactly a dog. Straight pulls isn't where its at for me anyways, I spend most days in the trees where WOT doesn't get used much. Rather have fast revving snappy power, same reason I don't want an 850, compared to the 800 they're slow to wind up. And If I wanted straight line power I'd probably buy a winder
I honestly have not rode a doo 800 and 850 back to back to compare. Polaris is definitely not that way. Not sure if it's just the lightweight crank in my 800 or a combo of everything in that engine but It's my favorite mill from any manufacturer to date.sounds like you need a skidoo. their 850 responds way faster than the 800
