if you know the hot wire and ground on the do and the brake . could you not just put a test wire on the new light and touch it to your battery to see what is what, shouldnt it be one ground one tailight and one for the brake. Just thinking

Something like that. I'm close as in I have a light working but that is all I have. Tomorrow I'll change the hook up and see if the remaining wire will work for any light. Maybe just go out and doo it tonight....

A series of picture that I took while changing out the tail light assembly on a 2010 XP. I have installed an Arctic Cat LED and I'm thinking it will make the Doo purr a little better and maybe add a few ponies (sort of like adding monster stickers)!

I don't like how the stock Doo tail light sticks up above the tunnel and when we put various things on the back (snowshoes, bags, chainsaws, trail signs, etc.) they sometimes have to sit on the tail light.

A series of shots from drilling out the rivets, removing the snow flap and light, pre-bending a piece of aluminum to hold the new light, polishing same with Boydo's special polish, tail light install, cutting the tail light off the Doo snow flap and re-installing the flap.

I need some Arctic Cat info; I have 3 wires, a blue, black, and yellow. I have phoned two dealers and I can't get them to divulge the connection secret. What color is for the brake light, tail light, and the ground.

Since AC is US built i would think the black would be ground, blue live, yellow brake... or yellow live, blue brake. Catmando should know this stuff

Go over to ArcticChat.com V2.0 -- It's All About The Pride®. and ask one of the boys over there....once on that site...click on forums and you can ask about the wiring...

Been there all day, also gone to two dealers and no answers. The dealers won't reply. On Arctic Chat there we 11 views no replies.

Snow and Mud have the peeps and the helpers! Thanks to a little thought and insight by mel.h....black being ground.....BINGO

Thanks mel.h, macronut, and all the rest for encouragement and thoughts.

Correct wiring if anyone else wants to try to add an Arctic Cat tail light onto a DOO.
Doo AC
black black ground
red yellow live
white blue brake

I know this is useless without pictures......tomorrow

In #2 scenario you do not say if you hooked the blue to the doo red & had no tail lights, then unhooked it & had brake lights!!! If you did hook it up & nothing there,no tail lights, then you are close, just your ground is mixed up.

I don't know what I was doing/smoking/drinking last night but the wire combinations in your last post are not right. You quoted me and I had typed the wrong combinations. I have since corrected them but that doesn't show in your post. Maybe it would be good if you edited it....sorry man.....just saying

And thanks again for all your help:ThumbsupMsn::ThumbsupMsn::ThumbsupMsn:

That looks way better than those goofy little led strips that a lot of the after market guy's are selling, koodo's to you... I may do the same on my 08 now, I like the look of that.

Thanks dude! In the first picture in the thread is an 08 that I put a Lordco LED light on. Cost was $20 less and I think the AC is much sleeker and better looking. The lights are expensive but so are Ferrari's......
