Pearl Harbour is probably the most important military base to the western United States. It’s where America will defend Taiwan from chinese aggression. Yes missiles are dangerous from anywhere in the world but if the Pacific Fleet sails to Taiwan China will back down because of the deterrent. Not sure about Hawaii not wanting to be in America? Have never heard that even though it can’t be ruled out. It was going to be the US or Japan. A lot of Japanese people still believe the Hawaiian Islands should be under Japan rule. You can see it when you are over here. They are rude and act like they own the place. Most notably the younger ones.

Just seen a random dude on a street corner in Kehei after leaving the restaurant. Dressed in a tie dye shirt, pony tail and beard. He’s holding up a home made sign saying “You dah lab rats” “ Lahaina was an inside job” .
Gave him a wave. Looks like he needed one and maybe a $20 bill for supper at McDonald’s because that’s all $20 will get you on this island.
