yes and my criticism of the sentiment that everything is a plan doesn't mean nefarious things aren't going on but i don't have the kneejerk reaction that everything is scripted. ch!t happens.

I was in Lahaina a couple days ago, pretty crazy how much of that town burnt down, was talking to some locals there and they think at least 10 years to rebuild the town. I looks like nothing has even happened yet but they are clearing some residential lots.

I might be willing to go help them rebuild if they need to speed it up a bit
i know an excavation contractor down there. Sucks he lost his house but guaranteed himself 20 years of cleanup and rebuild work now

Well it’s been 5 years since we went to Lahaina and drove through today. Very sad but to be honest it was hard to really see where the fire had come. 90% of all burnt down structures are cleaned up and hauled away. Just foundations and levelled out gravel left. Tons of tiny homes going up for residents until their new builds happen. They are closing the highway from Kihei to Lahaina tonight and tomorrow night to haul more tiny homes into town over those two nights. As a matter of fact there are tons of new houses already built or in mid construction. Amazing what can get done in a year in a warm climate. We drove through parts of town that were still open and you go till you reach a spot where they don’t let you pass so you detour around it. Didn’t see a lot of businesses rebuilding yet. Talked to a guy at a tavern and he said there was concerns about land grabs but so far they haven’t seen that happening. He said some residents probably will move away or not rebuild and that could create opportunities for developers but there is no pressuring happening at this time. The land north of Lahaina all the way from Kihei is very barren and dry. Yet a few miles into the mountains and they are getting massive rain amounts. Quite the ecosystem there. Didn’t see any new builds with blue roofs so take that for what it is. They either aren’t learning or that story was a bunch of bull. Very sad all in all but people are supporting them I’m told.
if you dont ask about blue roof why would they tell about blue roof?

I don’t want to appear as a loon. I was told they are a bit touchy about people with “ alternative” ideas on what happened
fair enough. Another good question is "When will you finally be your own country?"
Alot of them dont believe they are part of the USA anymore. Dont need pearl harbour anymore, missles have come along way since ww2
