Narrowed down to a couple options, what's everyone's take one these two bikes? Both 2018's and both around the 69hr mark and both for sale at the same price point

Well for me I'd take the KTM, I've road both and I preferred it for me, plus I'm not a fan of kawasaki, there not as reliable by what I've seen and been around. A lot is personal preference but both are a fun ride.

It's been awhile since I've been on two wheels and have gone with the KTM SX-F.
Thought maybe a 450 might be a big step considering I haven't ridden a dirt bike for more than 15min in 20 years lol

I had a 2015 450 SXF. Beautiful bike, great power, handled great but honestly at times it was a more than a handful and spooked me a bit on the MX track with how quickly it could get out of hand, and I've been riding MX since I was 12 with a short break in my 20s. I have no bike at the moment, kids and work took over but these newer 450s are pretty much nuts with the kind of power they're putting down. Ryan Hughes explains it beautifully in the video below. I know if I get back on a bike in the future, it'll be a 250 or 350. Just food for thought given that you've been on a bike hiatus.

My kxf 450 tried to kill me every time I got on it. They’re nut for power. That was a 2006 I imagine they’re even crazier now. I always said the need a 350. The 250 isn’t fun falls flat pretty fast and 450 was to much

husky 450 is full retard. 4th gear tapped on the back tire in trails by Nordegg. I could ride that thing like it was on fire but when I crashed, at minimum I’d be limping . Lol.

They’re fun to ride but you go down that much harder!

This 250 four stroker more than surprises me for power. Pretty calm in the mid rpm range but seems as soon as your Crack the throttle it's pretty hard to keep the front end down. Not much for tracks left in our area so hopefully I can get out on some Alberta tracks this summer.

^^^ whoops wrong button lol. I would look at a KTM 350 I had one back in 2014 they are great on the track and hard pack trails,I did find them to be a bit underpowered in deeper sand though. OR you can stand up to the 4 stroke revolution and get a YZ250 2 smoker and ride anywhere all day
