Guy who does my leather dress shoes didn't think he could attach anything that would hold as he couldn't stitch around the outside and the material is a foam so glue may not hold the best.. He was willing to try but i never did..

I'd be interested to know as well, new running boards chew the hell out of boots.

I went to all glass and bought some automotive windshield urethane adhesive and repaired mine, lasted most of last season. My new boots have 4 weekends on them and found this. I’m going to reinforce them with the adhesive as well because they won’t last long. The G4 running boards are boot eaters.

The tube of windshield adhesive was about $14 and it dries and cures in a few days. I’ve tried other adhesives and they just fall off in days. This stuff was very durable and held on for over 6 weekends of riding and still remains on boots for backup.

A friend of mine used shoe goo and just lathered it all over the sole, seems to hold up well for him over the last season

If you own a G4 you'll want to have shoe glue in your gear list. Sharp running boards = traction.

How much traction dose one need. I’d be taking a zip cut and rounding them edges off...because boots are so cheap.

Is all this kicking just a bad habit? I don't find the new boards on our Doo's a problem and much better than years ago. Definitely not an issue with my Adrenaline's.

Me thinks you kick too much.....

you guys need to "kick" the habit.......get it?....kick the habit.............kick?.....kick the habit?.......of kicking?.......get it?......................:rolling::rolling:

The Cobblers Rack in Vernon resoles Klim boots with Vibram soles. Just got mine back and they look awesome will be trying them out next week when I get back from work. Cost was $100.

That’s a great option, I wonder if the guy in GP would do that.
