Had a guy tell me he was dealing with low ballers while selling a car so he went along with guys on chat to accept the low ball and arrange to meet to look at the car only to give a GPS coordinate no where near where the seller lived, then when buyer was there alone seller would tell low baller looks like are even on wasting each other’s time. not sure a good bs story or a ballsy move to screw with guys?

Hmmmm, not sure what to think. Always get a lot of stupid reply’s on Kijiji. If people don’t want low ballers put firm in the add and that low ballers will be ignored. I don’t think I would waste my time sending someone to a fake location but to each their own. Now if the person kept bothering you after u told them to kind sand then it’s actually pretty funny!

obviously the original poster is a lousy negotiator. and is wing others time at the outset, produce an add that tells people what you want, would be interesting to see how original guy answers adds that he is interested in. i bet he offers a lower price also.

I've bought many many things for 50% of asking price. Some people actually just want to get rid of things or drastically come down on price.

If you cant handle a low offer you have bigger issues to work out, ignore it and move on with your life if your firm on price. If someone did that to me, I would be finding out and they would probably be searching kjiji for new tires.

Karma is a bitch so i mind my anger when dealing with fawk tards. A simple FIRM or obo is all ya need. obo to me means what i think is a fair offer...if its firm then don't bother. I have had really good luck with kijiji buys and only a few headaches with selling. My wins out weigh my frustration....love kijiji

I have no problem with this as I'm not a lowballing sonofabitch and if I'm making an offer at all I prefer to be standing there looking at the item unless it's something small and I need to get it shipped.

O.B.O means you'll take less,simple as that.

It could also mean you’ll take more if there is a bidding war.

Obo doesn’t mean I’ll take half of my asking price though. Especially when it’s in the thousands of dollars. That’s more like make me an offer territory.

When someone is selling something like a sled for 6g and some dickhead offers 3g, that’s just outright insulting unless the asking price is ridiculous in the first place. I feel most of the time it’s not the latter though. It’s just someone being a lowballing arsehole.

Sold tonnes of stuff on kijiji some items gain more trolls then others worst thing i ever sold was my nissan 350z people were offering half and then calling it down when i said no. Ended up takin 6 months to sell but i got my price in the end. But overal kijiji has been awesome it beats the old auto trader

Some lowballer just want to see if you will take their offer.
I had a few offered half off what I was asking,
I said sure, never hear from them again
If they ask where to pick it up I don't get back to them

Instead come up with a counter offer, what's the big deal? It's just business..... I would never give up a potential sale just cause they low balled.Or the people that say calls only? I've sold $20,000 vehicles through just emails...... Some people just don't wanna talk on the phone who cares? I wouldn't put restrictions on my sale to suit me, they are the ones paying!
