We have started a letter campaign to B.C.`s Premier, Christy Clark.
We are asking that everyone sign the letter and send them by mail back to the RSC, we would like copies of your letters. Thanks again to everyone at the ISC who supported us, we collected over 200 signed letters Sat.
Previous campaingns have seen over 6,000 letters sent to Gov. hope this one gets more.
This is important everyone, if you enjoy snowmobiling in B.C. please send your letter in and support the RSC and SRS in their efforts to keeping riding areas open for us all to enjoy.

You can imagine what we said when we walked into this store.
Anyone know what would it cost for 17 caribou and then the wolves, all full body mounts?

Yup.....more Caribou in the Bass Pro shop than the South Purcell mountain range. It would be funny if it hadn't caused me so much pain over the last ten years!

I'm easily confused Kathy. Do you want us to send the signed letter directly to you guys or send it to Clark and then send a copy to you? Also what is the address for the RSC? Thanks!

It might be a good idea to post this info in the SNOWMOBILE CHAT section as well Kathy. It may reach a few more people.:)

I was told that the animals in the display aren`t mtn. caribou, but wolves sure kill them too and so do grizzlies, wolverines and cougars. They look just like them, the Mtn. Caribou has a different gene.
Wildsight`s sight says "The globally unique mountain caribou is a variety of woodland caribou that has adapted to the special conditions of B.C.’s wet, mountainous forests".

Scientists tell us the Frisby herd has habituated to snowmobilers, they don`t know why.
These ones are up Frisby again Apr. 10/05 so areas are still closed for habitat. This is along the main corridor that is open to snowmobiling. There were 21 riders stopped at the green tower that had all rode past them in smaller groups for the last hr. We didn`t even know they were others till others told us. You can see the animals in the background in the last pic. and in the 1st pic. yes they are laying down.

The reason they are habituated to sledders is because we don't bother them. Hence why is this problem of ours a problem to begin with?
