My understanding is that there is no one outside of Japan that does Kashima coating. Last time I checked anyone that offered it as a service sent your part away. Maybe thats changed???

DLC is a good option and can be done local if its a wear surface like a fork tube. If its for looks like a shock body or something kerakote is a good choice.

What are you looking to get done?

The two shock bodies on my sled. The front experts have a nice coating, the rears are just raw aluminum. I dislike how it ages

I’ll probably send the bodies out to get anodizing that “looks” the same.

Look into cerakote, I did a bunch of parts on my motocross bike and it doesnt wear like anodizing. Seems to hold up much better.

Are they wear type items? What is the mail thickness?

Thinking out loud I guess you could do only the exterior and leave the inside “as is” from skidoo

I think cerakote is like a couple thou.

I did all sorts; brake calipers, brake reservoirs, engine covers, rear shock linkages... Since I did it for looks only I left the inside of the parts the factory coating.

In my head
I've used Anderson Anodizing St. Albert a few years back. Did a nice job and it held up well.

Throwing this out there, have you considered wrapping the shock bodies to match?
