I know my dealer would just take one off a an in stock sled to keep me going, guaranteed
But if you have a cracked cover, start a warranty claim.
Clutches are backorder so rather than sitting on the sidelines till March, pull the cover off and run a 911.
Get your new clutch under warranty or recall.
Party on.
120 in-lbYa I got my cover yesterday. Maybe I should toss it on today. Anyone know what the torque spec is on the bolts?
To remove the spider jam nut I had to get a 1 7/16" socket and get it extended at a machine shop. Be sure to heat the jam nut, there is loctite on it.

Same spec in the manual for 2015 as 2020. I would say it's more about the aluminum you're fastening in to than the bolt. This might sound dumb but is there a different spec between the early model metric bolts and the current sae bolts they are using?
6 or 12 point, shallow or deep, and how much did it have to be extended?
I don't think there's any need to touch the spider jam nut for a cover change?
Thanks for the clarification, I have not seen one installed. I think the competitor's products are covers only. How is clearance to the panels with that extension hanging out of the cover? I expect it chews it up a bit on steep sidehills like the XP/XM doos did stock. For the team clutch you need to remove the spider jam nut. The 911 cover uses a sleeve to go over the shaft and this sleeve threads onto the spider jam nut threads. The outer end of the 911 sleeve is threaded and the sleeve is longer than the original shaft. This allows for the larger cover bushing and the adjuster to fine tune the belt side clearance.

I'm not sure that the belt side clearance makes as big a difference on the later roller primaries though?Mine is on a 16 Proclimb so clearance is okay, it is closer to the side panel than stock , I can't comment on an Alpha. The adjustable belt side clearance is sure nice.

Are the 2016-17s having the same clutch issues with the old motor and team clutches or just with new motor
The engagement is excellent on the roller primary, just a little better when the excessive side clearance is removed.
