Just a few notes to clear up confusion. Units that arrive before Dec 1st warranty does not start till Dec 1st. Any riding before that is free as far as warranty is concerned. All dealers receive units at the same time whether they are big or small. How many they receive is derived by how many spring and regular units were ordered. Hope that helps clear things up.

hmmm what dealer is saying they all get them at the same time????,, I dont think that is accurate at all.....if you were BRP you would send your first sleds to your biggest dealer not your smallest,,, or maybe get them on a train or truck so the west would see sleds at a similar time as the east...

its business there's nothing fair about it sorry to relay the message.... that doesnt mean the lil guy will never see anything just means he will be second so to speak

unless you have a quote from a BRP dealer aggreement?

or it will be the dealer that steps up and orders extra sleds or num, bers over their quota then you may recieve a small favour from the manufacturer.

Here's how it works Johnny. BRP is using rail alot now. They will ship out say 100 x package sleds on a train with a destination of Calgary. They will then unload say 25 on a truck and send that load to Bow cycle. They may put another 35 on another truck and take those to Cochrane, drop off 17 and take the rest to Olds. They then load up another truck and drop some at Lethbridge and the rest to Brooks. The units that may still come by truck are loaded in Valcourt so they can be dropped in order to dealers once they reach their destination. Thats the gospel bud, no lies. Lol.

I appreciate that, thats why I asked for clarification.... I dont think there is a dealer guarantee that everyone gets their units at the same time......

fawk BRP cant even get their customers sleds to them on time with a oct 31st promise lol hence this thread so how would they guarantee the dealer bahaha

Yep! Thats the way its been for as long as I can remember. The reason being they don't want to penalize the consumer for no snow on the ground or they feel Dec 1st is a reasonable starting point anyway. They have been known to penalize you for other things though. But that is a whole different thread. HaHa.

this makes sense thanks for explannation,,, No dealer wants 40 sleds at once as it would take a month to PDI and deliver them so the process makes sense for sure,, I just assumed there would be a few day or a week variance from store to store

Why would you pay for your sled in the spring if its not getting delivered till fall? A reputable dealer would have charged you $500 for a snow check in the spring and the rest on delivery. I have better things to do with my cash then give it to Bombardier to collect interest on.

Just seemed like a good idea at the time to get it done and out of the way I guess

My 2011 etec has a recal on the pin holding the pistons in, and my dealer told me the snow checks are late cause they had to change all the pistons and pins on the 2012 engines so that may be why you guys are still waiting

back in the spring of '07 my buddy and I ordered the exact same sleds, the same day at the deadline....his at Stojans in Grande Prairie, and mine at Thomas Homes and RV in Peace River. his came in a full month before mine. is it because Stojans orders so many more sleds than Thomas? there were some spring order sleds that came in at Thomas before mine, but mine was the first of the sno checked models w/o e-start. his serial number was way lower than mine, could it have been a production date thing?
