So what are some of the pros of this system.
-no gas or oil
-no fluids
-no clutches to maintain
-no can

Efficiency will depend if they went with DC or AC motor. AC is far more powerful and efficient. Like comparing a 2stroke and 4stroke. But AC is more expensive in general to build. But really nothing wears on AC motors, other then bearing's as there are no com. brushes in AC motors.

Actually ac is cheaper to build

Would be nice to see a company just sell the batteries and the motor. I could squeeze that in my pro chassis when my motor blows again.

That is what I wanted to do as well. Step 1 would be using a small battery and set it up for drag racing. Step 2 would be a slightly bigger battery for RMSHA. Then maybe one day a battery that would work for deep pow days. The battery in the TS2 is 15kw so it's slightly bigger than what's in a Tesla power wall and slightly smaller than what's in a chevy volt.

I wonder if a linq system would work to hold a generator to the tunnel.

I think you may have hit the nail right on the head with this one here. If they can figure out how to build and all electric snowmobile that generates its own power as well I think everybody would buy one. As long as they aren't 1000lbs dry.

Exactly, toyota has that tech in their hybrid suvs and cars for years now, this could be a pretty interesting to see this progress.

Electric motors are easy to deal with. No rebuilds, jetting, air filter. Very linear powerbands. When they can go 3-4 hrs non stop, then I am in. Showed a xc hairscrable with dead engine start. The electric hole shot by large margin. Guy won race. The noise will be replaced with quieter mechanical sound.........

Here is latest mx bike “ALTA” electric, made in San Francisco. Almost 450f power.

They are pretty cool I’ve seen a few reviews, 50+hp, but 175lbs torque, I think one would be awesome except for having to find somehow to charge if in backcountry.
