So what are some of the pros of this system.

Efficiency will depend if they went with DC or AC motor. AC is far more powerful and efficient. Like comparing a 2stroke and 4stroke. But AC is more expensive in general to build. But really nothing wears on AC motors, other then bearing's as there are no com. brushes in AC motors.
Would be nice to see a company just sell the batteries and the motor. I could squeeze that in my pro chassis when my motor blows again.
I think this is pretty cool, just like the electric dirtbike it has more pros than cons. Would I buy one at that price? Probably not. Id have a sidewinder first.
I wonder if a linq system would work to hold a generator to the tunnel.
I think you may have hit the nail right on the head with this one here. If they can figure out how to build and all electric snowmobile that generates its own power as well I think everybody would buy one. As long as they aren't 1000lbs dry.
Electric motors are easy to deal with. No rebuilds, jetting, air filter. Very linear powerbands. When they can go 3-4 hrs non stop, then I am in. Showed a xc hairscrable with dead engine start. The electric hole shot by large margin. Guy won race. The noise will be replaced with quieter mechanical sound.........So what are some of the pros of this system.
