Yes you can just like a sled take cover off wrap flat strap around drive clutch do not attach strap to clutch just wrap it around so it doesn't slip you can do this with the belt on just as a note clutch turns counterclockwise

No they do not. Just wrap a rope around the clutch, cross over onto itself, make a couple wraps and pull.

If it's a CVT with a wet clutch like Yamaha, Arctic cat , Suzuki etc. Yes you just need to get it up to enough speed to engage the wet clutch.

If you have a newer machine and depending on exactly is wrong with the battery then no you may not be able to start it that way. If the computer cannot get enough juice it will be a no start

Never even thought about having to have power for the computer, plus I guesse it needs power for the fuel pump.Maybe a person should stay with the old carb modles with a pull cord.

I carry booster cables just in case. If your riding alone I guess it's still no help.

I have one of those boosters and have boosted a cold 6.4 diesel twice same day on the same charge, and it still indicated full charge! No idea in 20 boosts? mine is the 400 amp one, they have bigger ones for sale. Best money i ever spent, charges cell phones, runs laptop, no idea how, or why it works but i am more than pleased with it.

The little bit older 750 Suzuki King quad had fuel injection and pull cord

Only fuel injection quad that I know of that had it, way it was set up it charged enough even with battery dead to start

You ever try to start ones with the pull cord anyway? 99% of the time the rewind it's no good cause it never gets used and mud and water rusts it up, or you need to be Hercules to pull them over. And if you are tough enough to pull them over the rope usually breaks anyway. Best to get the booster pack

Before I got my new quad I rode a 82 Suzuki 300 king quad, pull cord always worked, use decompression and even I could pull it over.Never have had a problem with the new one starting but was just wondering what opions a person has.

As mentioned above the booster is fantastic to carry. Most of us have them now.

I'm using mine with my ghost camera, connect it and it would take a month too kill it. Never worry about a dead battery in 2 hrs and you can use the highest resolution
