I have my 97 wedge and an 800 turbo both built by Mountain Magic. The 800 turbo is up for sale because it isn't half the fun of the wedge.

Track- possibly. 2.25 to a 2.5/3" absolutely. I couldn't believe the difference between a 2.6 PC to a 3" PC

Ive added or deleted a pile of crap, and have no idea what has helped or hurt, except gone from stock 66gr to 74gr in the clutch. So I need to-nope. Do I love it-yup. It's mine and not a cookie cutter stocker.

The mods are cool but I am tired of the crazy cost of these turbo kits on a 2 stroke just to get them in the 200 hp area, are they awesome, yes as Niner has showed but those videos of him are a perfect example of a very well built pro dialled in perfectly with money spent on engine, clutching, suspension yada yada and it still will not quite keep up to my stock sidewinder which has 3 years of warranty and 4 stroke power and torque that is not matched by a 2 stroke of any kind. Now before you say I am bashing, Niner and I are good friends and he spent almost as much time on my sidewinder as I did. The new Yamaha is a very good reason to think about stock and just riding it, hell I still can't ride it to its full potential and I figure I will wear it out trying but that will be after many 2 strokes have come and gone. The older I get the more I realize its about quality ride time not down time and I agree with most on here, a can and clutching and just ride er!! I guess I have to honest too, I did drop 30 pounds off the winder so its not completely stock but my big mods were a straight pipe and a lightweight battery. I rode the sled for 500 kms with the stock track which was incredible but all my group are on 174"s so I had to do that as well which leads me to my next point, if the whole group is staying stock it is much easier to do so but as soon as your buddy kicks your ass cuz he clutched or something the games begin ha ha.

With so much low hanging fruit in the weight loss department on that sled you arent a bit tempted? Isnt it pretty easy to knock 50lbs off a sidewinder?

Ummmm your sidewinder is far from stock!! lol. You would mod your law mower if your neighbors was faster. Just how some of us wired. Don't fight it,embrace it.

Personally I think shocks are a good thing to upgrade. They don't break you warranty, and they make a pretty huge difference in the handling of the sled and your ability to ride it over rough terrain.
