Is land really worth this near Revelstoke?

Yes pretty much every snowflake that hits the highway causes a closure from avalanche control to semis in the ditch. It’s frustrating to say the least . We pretty much hole up for the winter because of that, other than to venture to the kelowna airport ( a day early) to go south for sun and sand.

when you get to the 800,000+ price range the houses look like what you'd expect an 800g house to look like. but in the 600g range you get a total dump. so just have to spend a bit more I guess haha

Sure is - note the realtor doesn’t even have photos of the interiors, but no worries the adjacent rail line and coal cars will rock you to sleep at night ( or drink heavily at zalas)

You could be right, but that all depends on if they develop the ski hill or not. And they are running out of time to break ground before their approvals expire. If the ski hill doesn't go through then the land/housing prices might end up coming down some from current asking prices.

How hard is it to build/get permits in Revy?

depends what you are trying to build. if you buy a residential lot it's easy to build a house. lots are 300g though. I have a friend building a house right now. better than buying a shot house for 600g
