Can you really text with them when you’re out of service.
Yep, gonna be getting rid of my ZOLEO. Satellite texting pretty cool. Going to Revy last weekend my brother is texting his wife on the parkway in the truck with satellite text. (Me driving)
The amount of time i’m out of service. It’s a must have.

iPhones now default to an encrypted file type only Apple devices can open, there is a setting to switch it, something like "allow greater compatibility".

HEIC is the file type that is encrypted, you want JPG or JPEG.

We broke down in the ice field park way and the iphone saved the day. It worked, can get you out in a pinch for sure. My buddy had to stand out side the truck to make it work. It has to wait for a satellite ext Still seems pretty sketchy to rely on though imo but yeah it works.

Thought i would take a look at it just now, Setting, camera, format .. most compatible. At least that is what bing AI said to do. I set my iphone to most compatible as well. I have ios vs 18.2 but iphone 13 mini so no sketchy satellite texting.

So… what’s everyone running for phones these day?
Don’t really need the latest and greatest.
I’m ready for something new.
Still on an SE-2.
I like the size, just need a better battery.
The text to Satellite is a good idea…

Iphone 14, battery life has been good. Never got use the satelite text function yet. No complaints.

I would still like to go back to an android device if I ever buy another phone for myself.

You might want to hold on a bit longer, the Turd has been handing out billions of undisclosed tax dollars to rodgers who has partnered with space x. There is rumblings Elon will release a model Pi phone. Iphone and android will go the way of the dodo bird if that happens. The crooked crap just never ends.

Elon said he has no intention of releasing a phone unless.. censorship gets too out of control then he will. He said he has bigger fish to fry right now.

When I had tapatalk I frequently had to use normal or low image quality for it to post (iPhone 15 pro max).
