Pogo Moose Incident - Fairbanks, Alaska

They were laying new power cables.
They were strung on the ground for miles. The moose were rutting
and very agitated. He was thrashing around and got his antlers stuck.
When the men (miles away) pull the lines up with their big equipment, he went
too. They couldn't get the lines right and went searching for the
problem. He was still alive when they lowered him, but he had to be shot later because he was in distress. He was a huge 60 inch bull.

Jackfish......a bonus catch!!

Wow Rhinorider! Nice fish! Holy cow! That moose is the last thing in my life I thought I'd ever see. Crazy!

That moose pic is crazy, no dought it was distressed. Can't imagine the line crew stringing the line and finding a swamp donkey dangling from it! That's like a one in a million picture. Everyone knows, even if it is the garden hose you are pulling across the yard, it will hook onto something, but a moose!!

I just forwarded the pic of the snake to my branch manager and he said he saw it before with specs. The distance between the two wires its caught on is 16" that is crazy.

WTF are you guys doing "peeling" spiders?

haaaa haa!! NOOOOOOO we don't peel the spider. Remember, our family has the rule you kill it you eat it. No killing unless you need it as food, or it's going to hurt you. The spider looks like a peeled banana. Like DL's old avi, but less perverted! ;):d:beer:

Sm I had a baby camel spider crawling on my arm the other day, I thought it was a fly until I looked closer. It's stuck on a post-it with scotch tape. There is a fellow here that worked in Yeman, he had a Camel spider nest under his bed and the babies were feeding on his legs. He was flying back to the states and had puss balls the size of oranges on his legs. Spent 17 days in the hospital and 2 months off work! I would post a picture but it is way to small to see in the camera. Looks just like the other picture I sent, except the size of tip on a pencil.

Seriously!!! wow.

The kids have questions:
Tatum: Could he have died from it?
Brook: Have you been bit by a camel spider?
Leo: What other spiders have you seen in Oman?

Thanks Dean!

Tatum, no they can make you sick, or in the case of the guy that had his legs bitten, he could have lost his leg. They have a bacteria that breaks down the flesh.
Brook, No but I have bitten a few of them! :d kidding.
Leo, Haven't seen any other spiders, but if I do, I'll get a picture and post it for ya.
