Importing and selling in the US?

Does anyone know what all is involved? I've bought in the US and imported into Canada a few times, but have never taken anything down. I know they have titles down there and it's a bit of a hassle to get one but don't know if you need one on Canadian vehicles. Is off road stuff different than hiway vehicles etc. What about a brokerage firm, is there any around that do it? Just looking for any info on this, thanks, Dan

I sold my truck to an exporter, he said he sends them across the border to Washington state. Says they sit there for 30 days to clear customs then go through an auction. I haven't researched it as I got sold it for way more than I figured and happy.

I have heard that if you are selling a sled 9for example), it is much easier for the US purchaser to come to Canada to pick it up (and do the proper paper work) than it is for you to take it down to the US for that same customer.

get yourself a good customs broker. They can save you a lot of headaches. I ship truck loads weekly primarily grains from AB/SK/BC but never cars or trucks. I know for grains we have to have an FDA # but not sure how it goes for vehicles. Call UPS Supply Chain Solutions (customs broker). They are good (their courier div sucks though )

Yes I have bought lots of equipment from the US and , the customs broker handled it well. No issues. Now , because of the $ , stuff is going the other way ....
i know anything I bought that was not street legal / was very easy.... Coming into Canada at least.
