If I could make one request for the Christmas season it would be for as many people as possible to NOT use the term "Xmas" and to not use the term "happy holidays". I am not a religious nut (being a Pastafarian and all, LOL), but I do believe in the true meaning and reason for Christmas, and I hate how people, under the pretense of being politically correct, take away our traditions one at a time.

Merry Christmas all!

Talk Like A Pirate Day.....

Talk Like A Pirate Day, September 19th is the most blessed of all days, equivalent to Christians' "Christmas", But better. This is the day where the Flying Spaghetti Monster blesses all because they talk like pirates, be they followers of the FSM or not. Obviously, to not talk like a pirate incurs horrific penalties, some of the worst of which involve haddock and a -35 penalty to all fortitude saving throws, but they are too gory for your eyes.

Just curious why if you are not a Christian, that you care what term is used to reference the holiday?

No he didn't. He explained the reasoning behind saying Holidays vs Christmas but Using an abbreviated term for Christmas has nothing to do with politics or wether or not you agree with the tradition.

The holiday is a Christian celebration PERIOD. Nobody is forced to participate. By taking holidays, time off, buy presents, etc, you ARE participating in a Christian holiday. By participating does not make you a Christian, but you also do not have the right to name it something else. Go to the middle East during Ramadan and tell them you don't believe in Allah, but you're going to take the week off anyways....see what happens.

Oh I agree with you there.
I just think if you want to make a statement about how our Canadian heritage is being robbed from us by the immigrants that we allow into our country, then that's what you should say.

I don't care what it's called. I look forward to exploiting the Christian holiday myself.

The very fact that I can celebrate the Xmas season and get free days off work even though I don't believe in an invisible man that lives in the sky, is what makes Canada great!

Merry Christmas sir.
