Here is another load of crap. Yesterday I went to get a rock chip fixed on my truck. Usually it's free but the lady said not anymore cause when they do it for free and no record of it ICBC then thinks that the shop only replaces windshields and not fix any so ICBC informed the shop if they don't do all the paperwork and take pics of the chips and send it all to them they will lose their ability to do ICBC windshields. So even after explaining to ICBC that it will cost them money in the end the answer was they know that but you better follow the rules. So a ton of paperwork and pics and a charge to ICBC of $80 which will in the end raise our rates

1/2 the reason icbc is loosing money is their adjusters do not want to do the job the are paid for. How many false claims have they just signed off on? I know of several and even brought pictures in of one person filing a false claim... I was told yes we know its a bad claim but their is to much paperwork involved so its easier to just pay out.. How many veh to they write off because according to them their is to much damage and yet a back yard mechanic buys the veh as salvage and fixes it for less than a 1/4 of what the veh was worth... Back in the day veh were fixed with aftermarket or used parts depending on how you were insured now its new factory oem parts only. As pointed out locally the other day people in alberta are insuring 2 veh for less than what we pay for one veh.. So if they are billing out 2x what anyone else is where is all their money going... And now they have a class action law suite against them... we will not be able to afford to drive soon our insurance will be so high... After promises of reduced insurance last year 1-10 went up including mine and i have a clean driving record
