Went for a hike along the Dogtooth range from atop the Kicking Horse ski lift and at the end of the third day arrived at Gorman Lake, things went well till we started to come upon sled parts at the back end of Holt, which the party commented why do sledders leave there crap back in the wilds. So to prove a point I packed out someone's arctic cat windshield complete, 09-10 skidoo headlight in pieces, aftermarket aluminum front bumper where they smoked a tree, kill buttons, reflectors, and beer cans. However I did meet another couple from Golden picking up sled junk and empties on there hike too. I guess we'll always have our 20% loser riders like any other sport or group, just saying.

PS, it only took me 3 hours to carry to gorman compared to 20 minutes on a sled.

Thanks for the positive response! I was thinking about drafting up a real bright 3" diameter sticker, saying "I leave garbage on the hill" than a person can discreetly paste it on there sled when you see something if you don't want to be confrontational. Just an idea. Then when you spot there sled in the parking lot, just cram it into his sled!

Excellent job! Ya I'm thinking with so many new young sledders the percentage is probably more like 35% idiots! Take your ch!t with you when you leave! Like putting the toilet seat down! How hard is that!

I have a theory on that.... Women should put it up when done, and men should put it down. Courtesy to the opposite sex :)Thanks for cleaning up after the pigs... Seems like people think their garbage just disappears as soon as the next snow falls.

i would think that most that leave crap behind would think that nobody would know who did it and no one will see it after the snow disappears. Think i'm going to have some fun this winter with some attitudes.

I'm one of the young sledders and me and my friends allways pick up others garbage and will clean a cabin anytime we're in it!
I'm thinking some parts may get left after a big crash and you're not able to get to or find all the pieces, I'm not sayinng that's ok but it might not always be ignorance.
