Yes and no. Wastegate is to control boost levels mostly.

Sounds like it needs clutching weight to keep rpm down.

Same deal as some of the skidoo turbos.
Agreed… sounds like its bumping of the limiter to me.
Like many new model sleds from any manufacturer, clutching for the conditions is never perfect.

7:15 he starts talking about Boost... “ability to use the same clutching everywhere, back home or at Burandts“

21:30 talks about the wastegate dumping pipe pressure with the same controller as the exhaust valves.

Thinking Ben and Chris be having some updates before long, in the next week and disclose what they have found.
They are typically very thorough.

If there using the wastegate to regulate pipe pressure that could certainly result in some weird noises out the exhaust……. I Can’t wait to Try my Buddies Boost, if He ever gets it, and Im a die hard doo Fan….😁

I sure hope my Aero charged XM can still hang with him……

They might be a little rev limiter action going on with those new boosts. I’ve seen some vids of them pushing 8500 rpm. Not sure what they should be running. Ride safe.

if there bouncing off the rev limiter all day not very efficient and will prob affect motor lifespan

So then what we are hearing in that first video is the valve dumping pressure from the tuned pipe?

Is this a lower elevation phenomenon?
