I can only "green rep", not "red rep"...why?

When I click on the star to approve (or disapprove apparently) I only have the option to approve. No "red rep". What's up? I seem to be able to RECIEVE red rep....

I tried IE and Chrome...same deal. Same at home and at work.

how much green rep have you handed out? I think you have to give out a certain amount of it before it lets you red rep.

I reported my own post trying to get a mod to answer this thread....I can still only give green. Seems kinda unfair....

Near as I can tell, rep power has to be enabled by the mods...

Admins are the ones with the power, not us lowly mods. I'll try to get RKnight111 to address this tonight for you Dave.

We once had red reputation and this caused several issues and it was turned off and only the green is available. If anyone has red it may be due to a user group there in and that will be looked into and changed. An example of a group would be Supporting Vendor.

or neutral

. Negative reputation may only be given if the administrator has enabled this. Neutral reputation is only given when the person giving reputation does not meet the criteria set by the administrator to affect someone else's reputation.
