RIP to the 14 who passed. Strength to the 14 that survived.

A tragedy to the hockey community.

Gah.

Looks like it was a t intersection an the semi didn't stop?

Looks like boxes of roundup?

Bus is split in two.

Bales of Peatmoss from Premier Peatmoss
Semi driver is uninjured
they had to cut the roof off to remove the injured

Not saying the semi driver is not at fault but that semi did not T-bone the bus. Front of the truck is not damaged and the front of the bus is gone. Ether way my heart goes out to all involved such loss and so very very sad for all involved.

Doesn't matter how it happened. What matters is that it DID happen. What matters is that families will never be the same.

No point pointing fingers for fault. Unfortunately, that will come at a later time.

RIP

Was a hard one today watching the news and hit close to home for some of us that brings back memories to another accident that happened to some young kids in Alberta in almost an identical manner.

This is such a brutal thing. It's bothered me for the last 24 hours. I couldn't sleep last night thinking of this. I lived in Humboldt for a number of years. Been to many broncos games. Like everyone in small town Sask or Alberta everyone knows someone and I know relatives and people who are directly affected by this. This could happen to anyone anywhere. How many ag or oilfield trucks come off side roads onto a highway? My kids ride the school bus and this just as easily could have been them. This is relatable to damm near everyone.

The first responders, emerg personnel, and Stars people are so brave. What they saw can never been unseen. I can't imagine what that's like. I didn't see a thing and I kow what I feel like.

Hug your family a little tighter tonight and say a prayer for all those who are effected- which is all of us to some extent. I won't forget this day. I've been down that highway and throught that intersection so many times. Its a bad one. Trees on the highway coming from the East limit visibility bad. If you weren't familiar with the intersection it wouldn't be difficult to blow through.

I'll try to sleep but doubt it'll be a good one.

Hats off to the hockey community for taking a moment of silence across the league's.

Very classy and just goes to show what level of respect hockey players have
