My 2011 dodge 3500 megacab, diesel, srw with air bags... And i ran across the scales, on the way back from the snowandmud.com quad jamboree, just to see where the big black dodge stood, loaded with 27 ft pull behind travel trailer and a 700 king quad in the back of the truck and fully loaded with just me inside, here's what i read on the scale:

Front axle: 2000kg/4409.25lb
rear axle: 2600kg/5732.01lb
trailer: 2750kb/6062.71lb

the sticker on the truck says:
Gawr, front: 2495kg/5500lb
gawr, rear: 2813kg/6200lb
gvwr: 4582kg/10,100lb

with quad and trailer on the back, i seem to be pushing the rear gawr fairly closely.... Quite low for a 1 ton..... Wouldn't be legal with 2 quads on the back of the truck on a deck pullinga trailer :(

how are all your numbers in comparison, with trailers/5ths/quads etc?

I actually did this with my 2009 F350 SRW Shortbox, I was also very supprised how close I was to my GVWR. Now I have a dually and don't worry about it.

I saw similar weights when I have weighed my 2008 3500 Ram. My newer 2012 3500 Ram has a bit softer rear spring setup but also runs similar weights to yours. Both my 3500s are duallys which helps give it a bit more payload than a single rear wheel truck.

If you run an equalizer hitch it will help shift some weight to the front axle and you may be legal to haul two quads on the deck then.

Just checked the decal. Same as Ric's. So I am a bit over on the rear axle. If I did not have 120 gallons of water and 80 litres of gas it would be under.

You are over your gvwr by 41.26 lbs already.

I have the same truck and would be interested in knowing the unloaded weight on the front v.s. the rear axle. I hear these things weigh about 8000 lbs unloaded. That doesn't leave much room for occupants, fuel, deck etc. Interesting to know that the 13/14 models handle way more weight for the srw. Now the payload is 1946 kg (4290 lbs) and gvwr is 5625 kg (12,400 lbs.) for the Cummins mega with ASIN tranny.

yup.... Already knew that...... Even though the gawr added together, front/back is 11,600lbs

yes agree. I own same truck no mega cab and have been looking at toy hauler fifth wheels. Mainly have to stay around 35 feet because of pin weight. Rear axle loaded with just wife and kid only have 2312 lbs left for hitch and pin weight. Not much really. Different story if going only on rawr. Makes you think seeing all these 3/4 tons pulling tripple axle toy haulers.

2004 Diesel 3/4 ton GMC. One quad on the deck and loaded trailer i am just under Max GVW on the truck 9,200 lb.

Two sleds on the deck with snow and ice build up and jerry cans empty( sleds full)I am just over 9200 lb

Now on a gas 3/4ton I am good. About 800 lb to spare , same GVW. Just lighter truck

Next truck will be a 1 ton

So basically I am overweight by a little

Where's ur gas and water tanks??

Bet there are close to the trailer axles, fuel is in the rear of the rear axle I bet also

Won't change much for hitch weight on truck

Actually the more weight in the rear of the toy hauler the less hitch weight, less rear axle weight then

I haven't taken the truck across the scale in years, but my door sticker on my 05 F350 reads;
Gawr, front: 2358kg/5200lbs
Gawr, rear: 3129kg/6900lbs
Gvwr: 5170kg/11,400lbs

275/65R20 tires: 1700kg/3750lbs X 4 = 6800kg/15,000lbs

I will scale my truck on days off, my door sticker reads this, my pick-up is a 6.2l gas 2012 F-350 Dually 4-door long box, it came from the factory with load range E tires

Front GAWR 2359kg/5200lbs
Rear GAWR 4082kg/9000lbs
GVWR 6033kg/13300lbs

I would never have anything but a dually for hauling 2 sled on a deck ever again
