I like this one.. some of it is common sense.. ok.. all of it is.. but it is good to spread the word.
Many ride areas in BC are becoming Trashed, because peeps simply don't give a fart. Some food for thought! like and share too if you can on your facebook page. This helps all of us in the end. The better our image, the stronger our sport, the healthier our support from the general populations. Lets not give them a reason to push us out!

xoxoxo

A new riding area........ Kool........approach parking lot area with speed and power slide into your parking spot, preferably near the entrance to the parking lot and then park diagonally to any other parking spots and unload trailer/deck and leave everything blocking any flow of traffic possible. Also leave any trash or oil containers laying around on the ground without using trash/garbage cans provided. Rev sled engines and once warm, become the parking lot hero and jump every snowbank within visual distance of the parking lot and drive as fast as possible to show what a parking lot hero you can be. Repeat these well heeled procedures at every new riding area you encounter to let everyone know just how good you are................... And enjoy ;)

Good post Momma. One more for your list, BE COURTEOUS:

-don't park in the middle of the trail if you and your group decide to stop for whatever, pull over to the side well out of the way.
-don't be the d'bag screaming across the staging area, that's loaded with people, at 70 mph.
-park at the staging area so that others may get in and out easily and don't take up 3 parking spots.
-don't ride by someone in trouble, help them out if they need it

I know there's a bunch more for this list, but I think the point's made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those guys that pile into a cabin occupied with families and mixed company dropping F bombs while smoking dope, drinking, standing in the doorway to piss on the snowbank and basically chasing everyone out.......... your not cool...... Read #8 and #9 and then read them again

Don't pull up 3 feet from my ramp and park your truck for the day so I can't get my sled loaded.:rant:

I agree. Further to that, if you are parking in an open lot. Don't park in the freakin middle of the lot. If you do, you deserve someone to park behind you. Not everyone shows up at 7am! There is suposed to be a system to the madness people. ....Pick a corner and form/start a line. Tricky stuff I know...But I think you can get it.

Well written, as usual. What the entire sledding community needs to realize is that riding is a priviledge, not a right. If we don't ALL respect these areas and the local communities / people / closures / laws surrounding them, soon enough we will lose those areas. I can't pin blame on any age group or province, as there are offenders from all walks of life / age groups. Unfortunate that "common sense" isn't that common anymore...

Down an ole dirt road in a town you wouldn't know
1. Pulling in to the staging area rolling the coal out of your diesel truck...

2. Highmarking above someone else and the guy who rode up to help him, only to hit one of the guys and break both of his legs..(Allan Creek Dec./05)..

Two words. "Use respect". Don't matter if your on the hill or in the parking lot or everyday life. Nobody thinks your cool doing your duma$$ crap except you and your duma$$ buddies, and yes I've done it myself until I realized the only people that thought it was cool was me and my duma$$ buddy's. but that was many years ago and now it's way cooler to sit back and laugh at those losers we use to be and hope one day they realize how dumb they are.
