Just want to add a few,
A beer or 2 over the course of the day not a big deal just take out the cans/ bottles, nothing worse than a trai,l area or lot filled with beer cans / bottles.
Second, for the love of f%*k if you blow a belt pack it out. We are usually the last group out at the end of each day and almost every trip last season we stop on the way out to pick up garbage mostly old blown belts, not that hard to back it out peps.
Most people do, just few that makes it look bad for the rest of us.
Bring on the snow!!!!!!

its simple really just have a bit of respect... momma has it right its all common sense, problem is that its not all that common any more.

And join a club or two, we have riders from Saskatchewan that ride with us a few times a year but are full fledged members. Numbers count in the clubs.

Common consideration. It's like common sense, either you have it or you don't. Tips can be helpful, but I'm thinking once a douch always a douch ?

see it all he time. women and children around or in the warm up cabin. dudes spewing four letter words like they are a must to our vocabulary. I have to watch this myself. right outside the door a group passing around a gagger because we have to get all fugged up to have a good ride. if your gonna smoke at least try to be a little discrete and boot down the trail a bit. my beer don't come out until I'm back in town. but that's just me.

All valid points for sure!! What a shame we have to come up with a list on how to be a half decent human being.
the trouble is you can educate ignorance, but unfortunately not stupidity!!

the real irony of this is that the locals are just as bad as those "damn albertans"

it doesn't matter wot plates are on the truck, but the under 30's males are more likely to contribute to these problems.
its exactly the same with quading ...

So is trying to climb your turbo Nytro over the cabin, wasted, while a hotty in a silver onezy cheers you on Douche? or No?

Omgosh you've got to be kidding me??? Seriously????? Did this really happen?

There is a certain part of the population that doesn't know any better, then there's the peeps who don't give chit... and then the new peeps who are just starting out who get to learn things the right way..... Part of the population still may remain douchy.. but the more it is known... the less of an excuse they will have for being so careless and destructive. I this info is so incredibly awesome. Thank you again to everyone. I think I'm going to make up some posters and distribute them ... well everywhere...

To me the cabins are such a privilege to have. Many people had to fight long and hard to get these cabins OK'd then countless hours from hard working volunteers built these not for their own personal gain, but to share with everyone. To disrespect a cabin, not clean up, take wood for granted, vandalize and monopolize is simply wrong. I am thankful that there are so many Awesome peeps with integrity in our sport. Only a hand full of douche bags, compared to the good peeps.

Don't pull up 3 feet from my ramp and park your truck for the day so I can't get my sled loaded.:rant:

I would think that leaving enough room to get your vehicle out to load your sled would be the proper thing to do as most parking lots are not that big... Nothing more frustrating than pulling into a staging area that is full due to those exact parking practices.. just my :twocents:

I wonder if trying to impress that thrashed out dumpster was worth it?? Boy that guy has become the poster douche of the sledding community,

i really think that we need to move to system of Club membership required to access any club maintained area???

Agreed.
I have seen small parking areas, full of mostly truck decks. Trouble is they all park so they can load and unload without moving, which totally wastes space for anyone else.

As long as they are not blocked from pulling ahead, they should be fine.

I agree Club membership is always good,, Douches have money too though. I don't have a solution,, but the back Country is a big place and some times the road less traveled is the best way to go

What? Did someone pull a knife on your group?

That is horrible too, and I hope everyone was ok. The one thing I love about our snowmobile community is that we aren't afraid to speak out when there is inappropriate behaviour amongst ourselves.
Douches exist everywhere, the thing we can do is speak out against the behavior, let peeps know what is helpful and appropriate, and keep on keeping on, growing new responsible riders to grow the sport. I love us, and want our sport to exist for a long long time.
